How We Got Here

Back in 2018, our founder Bianca Merrick kept hearing the same thing from friends and family. "Financial planning is too expensive." "I don't understand half of what my adviser says." "I feel like I'm being sold products I don't need."

She'd spent years in the industry and saw the gap between what people needed and what they were getting. So she left her corporate role and started virelathos with a straightforward mission: offer solid financial advice at prices people can actually afford.

Seven years later, we've helped hundreds of Australians sort out their super, tackle debt, and plan for the future. And we still answer our own phone.

Started Small

Bianca left her corporate job and opened virelathos with three clients and a laptop. First office was her dining room table.

Pandemic Pivot

COVID hit and everyone needed help fast. We moved all meetings online within a week. Turned out a lot of people preferred it that way anyway.

Growing the Team

Brought Darya on board because one person can't answer all the emails and still do good work. Best decision we made.

Working with clients across Australia. Still answering our own phone. Still focused on keeping things simple and affordable. Planning to stay that way.

Why Coffs Harbour?

Good question. Most financial advisers set up in Sydney or Melbourne. We're on the coast in Coffs because that's where Bianca's from and honestly, the lifestyle's better.

But here's the thing—it doesn't matter where we're based. Most of our clients we've never met in person. We do everything via video calls and phone. Works just as well and saves you the drive.

If you are local though, we're always happy to meet for coffee at Park Beach Plaza. We're right there in the shopping centre, which makes it easy to swing by.
